Shop Shelving - The Basics

We can supply you with a wide range of Shop Shelving options. The options below are some of the most common we supply. We're always happy to help you if you're unsure or require any further guidance.

Wall bays - These are usually 2.2m high and are positioned around the perimeter of the shop. Light boxes or header boards can be added to the top of the bays for corporate branding or merchandising purposes.

Gondola bays - These site in the centre of the shop and are double sided. The most common height is 1.4m which gives the optimum amount of shelving while also allowing good visibility over the top of the bays to give the sales area an uncongested feel and aid shop security.

"Hot spots" - These are low level single sided bays which sit at the end of the gondola run and are ideal for product promotions and impulse purchases.

Heights - Although we have detailed the most popular sizes above, we can supply the shelving at any height between 1m and 3m.

Bay widths - are either 665mm, 1000mm or 1250mm. Try not to use many 665mm bays in your plan as these work out more expensive than wider bays. The most popular shelf depths are 300mm, 370mm, 470mm or 570mm. Larger and smaller shelves are available ranging between 200mm and 770mm.
